You get your blood drawn at a Quest Diagnostics patient service center near you — in Fresno, Clovis, Visalia, Tulare, Madera, Bakersfield, Modesto, Merced, Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego or anywhere else in California.
Then the part most lab tests skip: a physician reviews every marker and sends you a written care plan — what is in range, what is not, and what to do about it.
Lab test panels and prices
Essential — $149. The panel an annual physical runs: CBC with differential, comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), liver and kidney function, lipid panel (cholesterol), hemoglobin A1c and TSH (thyroid). 45+ markers.
Heart & Metabolic — $249. Your heart risk, past the cholesterol number: everything in Essential plus ApoB, Lipoprotein(a) and hs-CRP.
Athlete & Recovery — $249. Iron and inflammation, for training and recovery: everything in Essential plus iron, TIBC, ferritin and CRP.
Nutrient & Energy — $349. A full nutrient blood test: everything in Essential plus vitamin D, B12, folate, iron and ferritin, magnesium and zinc.
One flat price per panel, the same wherever you are drawn. It covers the physician order, the Quest draw, the physician review and your written plan.
How lab testing works
1. Choose a panel and complete a short online intake.
2. A California-licensed physician reviews it and orders your tests at Quest.
3. Walk into a Quest patient service center in the morning, after an 8–12 hour fast (water is fine).
4. Results come back — Essential usually in one to two business days — and a physician reviews every marker and sends your written care plan.

Do I need a doctor’s order for a blood test?
You don’t need a separate appointment. A California-licensed physician on our team orders your tests from your intake.
Where do I get my blood drawn?
At a Quest Diagnostics patient service center. There are locations throughout California, including Fresno, Clovis, Visalia, Tulare, Bakersfield, Modesto and Merced.
Do I need to fast?
Yes. Every panel includes a lipid panel and a metabolic panel, so go in the morning after fasting 8–12 hours. Water is fine.
How long do results take?
Essential results usually arrive in one to two business days after your draw. Panels with specialty markers can take longer.
What happens after my results?
A physician reviews every marker and sends you a written care plan. In the Fresno, Clovis, Visalia and Tulare area it can include IV care and vitamin shots from our nurses; physician-reviewed supplements ship anywhere in California.
